A skin tag is a small benign tumor like growth that protrudes from your skin. These small growths look like a piece of hanging skin. If you want to get rid of your skin tags immediately you can cut them off with a pair of scissors. However, when you do this keep in mind that the area will bleed. You will need to apply pressure for a while to stop the bleeding.

If you don’t want to try to remove your skin tags at home you can have your doctor remove them. This is a simple in office procedure that consists of burning the skin tag off or freezing it off. The disadvantages to having your doctor use these methods of skin tag removal is discoloration of the skin or the skin tag may not come completely off in some cases.

If you don’t have the money to pay your doctor for skin tag removal you do have another option. There are a few great creams on the market that are specially formulated to remove your skin tags. These homeopathic creams are safe to use and are very gentle on the surrounding skin. These natural creams will cause the skin tags to dry up so they flake off in a few days.
